About this page
The crypto average price calculator turns several purchases of the same coin into one average buy price. Enter each buy as coins bought or dollars spent, with its price, and it returns total coins, total cost, the value now at the live price, profit or loss and the break-even price. Your buys appear on a price scale next to the average and today's price.
The average is weighted by size: total spent divided by total coins received, not a simple mean of the prices. A large buy at a low price pulls the average down more than a small buy at a high price. Plan another buy adds one more purchase at the live price or any price you type and shows the new average, which is how traders check the effect of averaging down.
Prices come from Binance, OKX and Coinbase, with DefiLlama for coins none of them lists, and refresh every 5 minutes. There is no fee field, so enter the dollars spent including fees if you want the average to reflect your full cost. You can add as many buys as you need and remove any of them.

The extra purchase is added to the totals and the division is done again, so the average moves toward the new buy's price. It works at the live price or any price you enter.
