DeFi, or decentralized finance, means lending, trading and earning yield through smart contracts instead of banks or brokers. This dashboard follows DeFi cryptocurrency activity across all chains: total value locked, the protocols that hold it, decentralized cryptocurrency exchange volume, lending rates, fees and the stablecoins most of DeFi runs on.
Top DeFi protocols ranks 32 protocols by value locked, with filters for DEXs, lending, liquid staking, perpetuals, yield and bridges, and each one opens a full profile. Lending markets compares USDC rates across protocols. Fees are what users pay to use a protocol, and revenue is the part the protocol keeps after paying liquidity providers and stakers.
Value locked counts deposits in protocols, while DeFi market cap is the value of the protocols' own tokens, so the two figures differ. DefiLlama supplies TVL, DEX volume, fees, revenue and stablecoin totals every hour, and lending rates come from its yields data. Money in DeFi carries smart-contract and liquidation risk that a bank deposit does not.
Questions
Short answers to what people ask most.
Total value locked is the US dollar value of the assets deposited in DeFi protocols. Across all chains it stands at $96.78 billion today.

DefiLlama supplies value locked, DEX volume, fees, revenue and stablecoin totals every hour, and USDC lending rates come from its yields data.
