About Aster
What it does, how it earns and what the ASTER token is for.
Traders on Aster can post assets that earn a yield, such as USDF, as collateral while their perpetual futures positions stay open. Aster is a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures, contracts that track an asset's price with no expiry date, and users keep control of their own assets while they trade.
Aster runs on BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana and Arbitrum with no need for bridging, and its markets share liquidity, so large trades cause only small slippage. Trades are matched on an order book, and perpetual contracts over cryptocurrencies and U.S. stocks can be traded with high leverage, settled on-chain in crypto. Holders of ASTER can vote on governance, earn staking rewards by providing liquidity and collect incentives through a points program.
