About Bittensor
Bittensor runs a decentralized machine learning network on a blockchain, where separate subnets, smaller networks inside it, produce digital commodities such as computing power, storage and predictions. It is an open-source protocol, and TAO is the native coin of its blockchain, rewarding the machine learning models that train on the network. According to its developers, Bittensor aims to create a market where consumers and producers of artificial intelligence interact openly, without either side having to trust the other.
TAO also grants access from outside the network, letting users pull information from Bittensor and tune its activities to their needs. The protocol hands out rewards and ownership of the network to users, in proportion to the value each has contributed.
