About Convex
What it does, how it earns and what the CVX token is for.
Convex Finance is a DeFi protocol in the yield strategies category. It accepts deposits of Curve liquidity providers' LP tokens, which represent their share in Curve pools, so they earn boosted CRV, meaning extra CRV rewards on top of the usual rewards, and liquidity mining rewards.
People who stake CRV earn trading fees and a share of that boosted CRV. CVX is its governance token, and holders direct how the voting power from locked CRV is used.
