Chainlink will supply data and interoperability
Chainlink data services are intended to provide price and net asset value information for tokenized products. Reliable valuations are necessary when institutions distribute an asset, report its value or consider it for collateral.

CCIP is designed to connect public and private blockchains through one integration. Hanwha wants to use that layer for cross-chain distribution instead of building a separate connection for every network.
A joint working group will define institutional controls
The companies plan to work on institutional custody and compliance, asset valuation, proof of reserves and standards for using real-world assets as collateral. Those questions link the blockchain record to the legal and operational controls around the underlying asset.
The working group must also determine who can update data, pause transfers and resolve a conflict between an on-chain record and an off-chain register.
What institutions still need before launch
- Verified ownership and asset data
- Cross-chain transfer controls
- Clear collateral and liquidation rules
- Regulatory reporting and audit records
South Korea is preparing a regulatory framework
South Korea is expected to launch its regulatory framework for tokenized securities in February 2027. Hanwha is also holding discussions with international issuers as it develops the platform.
The timing gives the project a clear policy context, but it does not guarantee that a specific product will be ready when the framework takes effect.

Key questions remain before the platform launches
Hanwha and Chainlink have not named the first tokenized asset, a completed transaction or a launch date. The announcement therefore describes the infrastructure and standards the partners intend to use rather than a live market service.
The next meaningful evidence will be a named issuer, a defined asset and a transaction that proves the custody, data and cross-chain controls work together in production.
