The permission has a defined scope
The FSRA authorised Animoca Asset Management (AD) Limited under Financial Services Permission number 250097. The permission allows the company to manage a collective investment fund inside ADGM or from the financial centre.

The public register states that the company may not deal with retail clients and may not hold or control client assets. It is therefore not a blanket licence for custody, exchange services or retail distribution.
The final approval was announced on 2 November
Animoca received in-principle approval on 24 November 2025. The public register records the final permission as effective from 13 October 2026, and the company announced it on 2 November 2026.
Animoca says the permission supports its plan to connect institutional capital with blockchain infrastructure, tokenised assets and artificial intelligence systems that can act independently. It creates the legal capacity to manage funds, while the commercial details of any future fund still need to be disclosed.
Investors still need product-level information
A fund name, target size, eligible investor group, custody arrangement and fee structure have not been published. Without those documents, there is no basis for judging the risk or possible returns of a particular product.
The confirmed change is regulatory approval, not an endorsement of a token or a promise of investment performance. The next meaningful evidence will be a registered fund with documents that explain its mandate, valuation, liquidity and service providers. Until those details appear, the approval is best understood as preparation for future products rather than a product that investors can assess today.
