FASE is a Swiss nonprofit with industry partners
The founding group includes Anchorage Digital, Bitfury, Bybit, Chainalysis, Fasanara Capital, Payward, Opera, Pave Bank, Prosper Global, the Solana Foundation and Tether. The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime will provide technical advice.
The full name, Financial Access and Systemic Empowerment, describes the planned scope. The foundation lists financial safety, inclusion, access to essential services and responsible technology as its four areas of work.
The first commitments are plans, not completed results
A programme with Goodwall is designed to offer digital education and scam-prevention tools to as many as ten million young people in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. That number is a target, not a count of people already trained.
Prosper Global will run a separate pilot for up to one million people. It will test whether stablecoins can make aid payments easier to trace and deliver in vulnerable communities.

One programme will support people who survived human trafficking
FASE also plans to contribute to the United Nations Trust Fund for Victims of Trafficking in Persons. The fund supports organisations that provide protection, medical help, legal support and reintegration services.
The announcement does not state that every grant has already been paid. It sets out the foundation’s first commitments and the organisations expected to help deliver them.
Earlier grants show the scale of completed support
Before the new foundation was announced, Tether provided two grants of 100,000 dollars to BTCPay Server in 2024 and 2025. It also awarded 250,000 dollars to OpenSats for open-source work.
Those completed grants are separate from the larger Goodwall and Prosper targets. Future FASE reports will need to show how many people actually received help, how wallet access was protected and whether the aid pilot worked in local conditions.
