About Aerodrome
Key facts, ownership and custody.
Aerodrome is a decentralized exchange on the Base network that launched in 2023, handling spot markets. It is an automated market maker, so trades settle against pools of tokens instead of an order book, and users can swap crypto or provide liquidity to those pools.
Customer funds are held in public smart contracts, where anyone can check them on-chain. As of 2026, each pool sets its own fee tier, liquidity providers earn the pool fees and the protocol keeps part of the trading fees, and Aerodrome runs on Base and Arc. A liquidity incentive engine rewards people who provide trading liquidity.
