About Raydium
Key facts, ownership and custody.
Raydium is a decentralized exchange for spot trading. It runs as an automated market maker, where trades go through pools of tokens that users supply. It launched in 2021.
Trading balances sit in public smart contracts that anyone can verify on-chain. Raydium supplies on-chain liquidity to a central limit orderbook, a shared list of buy and sell orders, so the people who supply tokens to its pools can reach the order flow and liquidity of the Serum exchange. As of 2026, each pool charges its own fee, which liquidity providers earn, while part of the trading fees is kept by the protocol as revenue. RAY is Raydium's exchange token.
